Thomson attorney Jaye Jones has opened a practice in the upstairs of the Dozier Building on Main Street.

The new practice will cover a broad, general area of law including civil litigation and criminal law. In addition, Mr. Jones is the representative for Department of Family and Children Services in the Toombs Judicial Circuit.
"I'm excited about opening my own practice in town. It's something I've always wanted to do," he said.
Office hours are 8:30-5 p.m. daily, with lunch from 12-1 p.m. The phone number is 595-2333.
Mr. Jones, a 1994 graduate of Briarwood Academy, received his undergraduate degree and also attended law school at Mercer University in Macon. The school has been ranked among the top 100 accredited law schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
He and his wife, Debbie, director of marketing/public relations and foundation at McDuffie Regional Medical Center, are expecting their first child in July.
