The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce the Timothy F. & Carolyn S. Maund Scholarship Essay Contest for 11th and 12th grade high school students in Richmond, Columbia, Burke, McDuffie and Lincoln counties. Students that are currently enrolled at Augusta Technical College may participate as well.
Through the generosity of Tim and Carolyn Maund, the Augusta Technical College Foundation will be awarding three $200 tuition awards to high school students and two $200 tuition awards to currently enrolled students.
The essay competition gets students thinking about technology and technical education and its impact on the workplace and on themselves. High school students will address the question of "How has technology impacted the work environment?" Currently enrolled Augusta Tech students will address the question of "How has technical education positively impacted your life?"
The deadline for entry is April 27. Students can get contest details from their high school counselor or they may call the Augusta Technical College Foundation at 706-771-4023 and have the information sent to them.
Tim Maund has been a trustee on the Augusta Technical College Foundation for a number of years. Carolyn Maund is the retired Executive Director of the American Red Cross.
