Mrs. Frances Richards Jordan

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Richards Jordan, 74, who entered into rest April 17, 2008, were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Coyle officiated. Entombment was in Pineview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jordan was a native to Thomson, having made North Augusta her home for the past 51 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class and 1950 graduate of Thomson High School. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of the late Gibson and Ruby Rabun Richards.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joseph K. Jordan, Sr.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kelly & Penny Jordan and Richard Jordan, all of North Augusta; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Vince Pedraza, Wilmington, NC; a sister, Camilla Benson, Greer, SC; two brothers, Jack Richards, North Augusta and Kent Richards, Thomson; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers were Robin Palmer, Jeff Spradley, Bill McCollum, Lowell Brown, James Skidmore and Raymond Deal. Active pallbearers were Robbie Jordan, Tim Hall, Steve Smith, Jack Jordan, Mike Potenski and Jimmy Chadwick.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 615 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC.

Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta was in charge of arrangements.
