Mr. Newton "Pete" F. Ousley, Sr.

DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Newton "Pete" F. Ousley, Sr., 63, entered into rest Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Medical College of Georgia, beloved husband of Mrs. Beth Ogletree Ousley.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at the Dearing Full Gospel Church with the Revs. Jerry Rockefeller and Eddie Renew officiating.

Mr. Ousley was born in Monroe, Ala., and lived in Dearing most of his life. He attended Dearing Full Gospel Church and was self-employed with Pete's Paint & Body Shop.

Survivors include his wife, Beth O. Ousley; one son, Newton "Shott" F. Ousley, Jr., Millen, Ga.; one daughter, Jillian Janice and Jami Felder, Grovetown; two brothers, James "Jimmy" and Debra Ousley of Harlem, Jerry A. and Lorretta Ousley of Louisiana; five sisters, Faye Harris, Harold, Oklahoma, Dorothy "Dot' Edwards of Florida, Deborah A. McGath, Statesboro, Ga., Jackie L. and David Coker, Texas, and Lynn Wasdin, Vero Beach, Florida. Additional survivors include one granddaughter, Jasmine Joyce Ousley and one grandson, Newton F. Ousley III.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 17 Executive Park, Suit 115, Atlanta, GA 30329-2012.

Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
