THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Eva Mae Ivey Grant, born the sixth child on July 4, 1930, to the late Robert Ivey and Sarah Lester Ivey, in Warren County, died on April 15, 2007, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter, Phyllis Wheeler, Thomson; two sons, Bernard (LaVeta) Grant, Columbia, S.C., and Tommy Grant, Grovetown; one sister Geneva Jackson, Warrenton; three grandchildren, Marcus Wheeler, Dearing, Shonda Wheeler and Julius Grant, both of Columbia, S.C.; one great-grandchild, Jarell Wheeler, Thomson, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, many special and close friends and loved ones, especially Herbert Brayboy.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 21, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Springfield Baptist Church in Thomson with Rev. Henderson Roberson, Jr. presiding and Rev. Frederick D. Favors serving as eulogist.
Pinkston-Roberts Funeral was in charge of arrangements.
