Students receive scholarships at banquet Monday

The McDuffie Scholarship and Loan Foundation awarded more than $21,000 in scholarships during a Monday night banquet at First Baptist Church.
Those honored include: Academic Scholarship ($1,000) - Kelly Robinson; Academic Scholarship ($1,000) - Melisa Newsome; Future Teachers ($5,000) - Carol Wood; Lemley Memorial ($2,000) - Kathy Robinson; Thomson Foundation ($1,000) - Lindy Ferrell; McDuffie PAGE ($500) - Shaina Williams; E. Wilson Hawes ($1,000) - Nikosha Hudson; McDuffie ESA ($500 each) - Amber Mays, Shannon Williams; C. S. McCorkle ($500) - Marcus McGhee; William Leverett ($500) - Elizabeth Thigpen; Johnson Memorial ($5,000) - Amy Weimer; Tyson Vocational ($500) - Clayton Dent; Dr. Thomas J. Neal, Sr. Memorial ($500) - Heather Miller; Georgia College & State Sharing ($1,000) - Will Swan.
