THOMSON, GA. -- Entered into rest Thursday April 21, 2005, at his residence, Mr. Thomas L. Latislaw, Sr., 74, husband of the late Mrs. Jean Wylds Latislaw.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 23, 2005, at Starling Funeral Home. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown, with full military honors.
Mr. Latislaw, a native of Chicago, Illinois, was a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and a veteran of the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Award. Mr. Latislaw was also a retired mechanic from Pam AM, Fort Gordon.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Jean Chambers and husband Tommy Chambers, of Harlem, and Nicole Leigh Swiney and husband Donald Swiney, of Thomson; one son Thomas L. Latislaw, Jr. and wife Duranne Latislaw, of Hephzibah; three brothers Herb Latislaw. of Benton Harbor, Michagan, Jim Latislaw, of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Bob Latislaw, of Niles Michigan; one sister, Margaret Huber, of Niles, Michigan; and four grandchildren Mic Kime, Nick Latislaw, Melita Latislaw, Patrick Latislaw and three great-grandchildren, Jared Latislaw, Justin Swiney, and Jacqueline Latislaw.
Pallbearers were members of the Military.
