Mrs. Mary Ethel McNair
Seamstress

THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Mary Ethel McNair, 87, widow of Mr. Sam McNair, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, in Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. McNair was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired seamstress from the Stapleton Garment Co. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her two sons, David (Janice) McNair, Augusta, and Wiley (Jackie) McNair, Harlem; four grandchildren, Tony (Donna) McNair, Harlem, Cynthia (Trevon) Wheeless, Harlem, David (Terrie) McNair, Jr., Augusta, and Janet (Dwight) Akemon, Evans; eight great-grandchildren; and a special family friends, Marlene (David) Karr.

Pallbearers were Danny Johnson, John Cook, Tony McNair, Dwight Akemon, Trevon Wheeless, and Charles Farr.
