THS student to compete nationally
Thomson High sophomore Erica Green took first place in imaging technology at the Technology Student Association state competition last week. Her presentation of digital pictures she took got her into the finals. Then she created a presentation on the theme "visualizing the next 25 years of TSA" which included pictures of people she took at the annual TSA conference. She will now compete in the national competition in Nashville, Tenn. in June.
Erica also placed sixth in computer aided publishing and ninth in promotional graphics. She, along with Chris Watkins and Chris McCorkle, placed sixth in cyberspace pursuit. Watkins and McCorkle also placed eighth in architectural modeling and 23rd in computer system troubleshooting. Chris Watkins placed fifth in architectural CAD 2D.
Brandon Smith was 17th in dragster design. The team of Christie Perry, Matt Cook, Hillary Murphey, Brice Johnson and Brian Crapps took fourth in Film Technology.
