DEARING, Ga. - Retired Sgt. First Class Thelmadge G. "Thomas" Simpson, 83, husband of Mrs. Alice Moore Simpson, entered into rest Wednesday, April 25, 2007.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2007, with the Rev. Jim Bailey officiating. Interment was in Harlem Memorial Cemetery with full military honors accorded.
Mr. Simpson, a native of Wrightsboro, had retired from the US Army, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice M. Simpson; two sons Tommy L. Simpson and wife Bobbie, Dearing, and Paul H. McMichael and wife Dollie, of Dearing; one sister Vonill Miller, Charleston, SC; three grandchildren Jamie McMichael, Trover Simpson and Zachary Simpson; and two great-grandchildren Megan McMichael and Clayton McMichael.
Pallbearers were members of the military.
