Edward & Lavonia Ricketson, Jr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 24.
To honor the occasion, their children, Edward III, Carrie Neal and Linton, Carroll Bolton and Buster and Rusty Ricketson, gave them a surprise party at White Columns in Thomson.
Included in the celebration were friends, family and their grandchildren, Edward IV "Ric" Ricketson, who provided a Power Point presentation with pictures, Marcus Ricketson and Rus Ricketson, who helped with music and Mat Neal, who provided a narration.
It was a very special evening and we want to thank our parents for providing the stability of a loving home and the Christian values which we continue to use to guide our lives. It is encouraging to see a couple who has withstood the challenges of raising four children, stayed committed to each other, and remain an inspiration to us all.
