Mr. and Mrs. Christian Billings Colson of Awendaw, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Rhea Colson to Grant Kevin Usry, both of Jacksonville, Fla. Mr. Usry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lewis Usry of Thomson. Miss Colson is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Rhea of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Colson of Naples, Fla., and Mrs. Nancy Billings Colson Bursaw of Acton, Mass.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. She is employed by The Mayo Clinic at St. Lukes Hospital in Jacksonville.
Mr. Usry is the grandson of Mrs. Katherine Hoover Creager and the late Rentfro Banton Creager of Peachtree City, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lewis Usry of Thomson.
The prospective groom earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Georgia and is currently a student at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville.
The wedding is planned for August 4, 2007, at St. Phillip's Church of Charleston, S.C.
