Smith The McDuffie County Transportation Department has raised $1,050 for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Department Supervisor Henry (Butch) Blount said his department was committed to raising money because they hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. "Words can never adequately describe Relay for Life, but whatever Relay means to you, every person involved helps bring us one step closer to eliminating cancer," said Mr. Blount.
