THOMSON, Ga. -- Mrs. Betty Dobbins, 72, beloved wife of Mr. Jim Dobbins, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, in Walton Rehab in Augusta.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Thomson, with Jerry Lanier officiating.

MILLEN, Ga. -- Mrs. Janie Gertrude Johnson, 91, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Jenkins County Hospital.
She was born in Jenkins County, and was a retired seamstress for the Thomson Company and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her three daughters, Catherine Burke and Mary Troisi both of Millen and Syble Gay of Carrollton; two sons, Billy Johnson of Millen and Batt Johnson of West Columbia, SC; two sisters, Allene Hatfield of Columbia, SC and Anna West of Keystone Heights, FL; two brothers, Clyde Johnson of Rincon and Lewis Johnson of Barstow, CA, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers were Deacons of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and Honorary Pallbearers were the officers of Woodmen of the World Lodge #1186.
