Crawfordville, Ga. -- Mrs. Dorothy McAvoy Patrick, 87, of Crawfordville, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Wills Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at the Sandy Cross Baptist Church with Rev. O'Neal Martin and Rev. Mel Mallison officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Patrick was a native of Wilkes County and was married to the late Claude Patrick for 58 years. She was formerly employed by Gracewood Hospital in Augusta and was a member of the WMU at Sandy Cross Baptist Church. She was an active member of both the Sandy Cross Baptist Church and the Ficklen Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Frances Vandiver, Thomson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Wyman Roth, Thomas Roth, Buddy Vandiver, Roy Vandiver, Thomas R. Harvill and Barry McAvoy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandy Cross Baptist Church, Crawfordville, or to the Ficklen Presbyterian Church in Washington.
