As the school year comes to a close, the students going to Europe this summer are becoming more and more anxious.
French teacher Julie Norman, trip sponsor, said 21 students and three chaperones will pull out of the McDonald's parking lot on June 28 to start the 10-day trip.
Mrs. Norman said she is looking forward to going, although she's been before.
"I am excited, but I'm also nervous," she added.
Hope Harrison, a sophomore at THS, has already got her passport from the courthouse and had to buy a new suitcase. She also had to invest in an universal plug-in because the American appliances, such as hair dryers and curling irons, won't fit into the European electrical sockets.
"I had to work all spring break at the Masters, so that I could have spending money for the trip," she said.
Those students and chaperones who are planning to attend are Mrs. Norman, Mrs. Lyon, Jessica Bell, Kristen Burch, Margaret Crawley, Robert Dixon, Thomas Foster, Michael Griffin, Jillian Harper, Hope Harrison, Blakely Holley, Ashley Jones, Dottie Knox, Edward Leung, Jameon Moss, Teresa Noble, Jessica Prezello, Stephany Ruberg, Elizabeth Thigpen, Ashton Whitaker, Mary Allen Wilson, Bob Wilson and Mary Woodroof.
