Coach John Barnett poses with a few of his players.

"I am very proud of the accomplishments of the girls golf team this year; we finished second in region and qualified for state," Coach John Barnett said. "We defeated 14 teams and lost to only two."

Girls attending the state competition were Leslie Wangness, Stacy Cason and Dottie Knox.

"I'm really excited," Cason said. "It's the first time I've ever been."

Knox added, "State is full of great young golfers. I'm just glad that I get to be a part of this event."
