With graduation, weddings, Father's Day and other special occasions coming up, the Thomson-McDuffie County Chamber of Commerce is offering "Chamber Gift Certificates." The certificates are available in various denominations from the Chamber office in the Depot in Thomson.
"This is a perfect way to honor someone and still keep our tax dollars in McDuffie County," said Chamber Executive Director Carolyn Gilbert, adding that the certificates can also be used to reward employees.
So far, the program has kept more than $5,000 in McDuffie County, she said.
The following businesses are participating in the Chamber Gift Certificate Program: Abigail's On Main, Aunt Tiques & Uncle Junk's, Bi-Lo, Brier Patch Gifts & Tanning, Chinaberry Foods, Culpepper Lumber Company, Domino's Pizza, Farmers Furniture, Furniture and Mattress Gallery, Grand Rental Station, Hughes Furniture Company, Ivery's Restaurant, McDuffie Feed and Seed, McDuffie Office Solutions, Peacock Hill, Peebles Department Store, Plantation House Restaurant, Remnant & Rug Shop, Richard's Florist, Stacy Turner Furniture, Thomson Carpet & Decorating, Thomson IGA, Chamber of Commerce and W. S. Badcock Home Furnishing.
