Mrs. Llewellyn "Lu" Gibson Yancey
Homemaker

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Llewellyn "Lu" Gibson Yancey, 92, widow of Mr. James Clayton Yancey died Sunday, May 7, 2006 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Friday May 12, 2006 in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Liza Marler officiating.

Mrs. Yancey was a native of Mitchell and a daughter of the late Dr. Charles & Blanche Kitchens Gibson. She was a homemaker and a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by niece, Kathy J. and husband Larry Russell, great niece Brooke Boswell, great nephew Clay and wife Sherry L. Boswell, great-great niece Taylor Boswell, great-great nephew Jared Boswell, and loving friend Mary Hatcher.

If so desired, memorials may be made to the Thomson First United Methodist Church building fund.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
