Mr. John Durham West Brown

MARIETTA, Ga. - Mr. John Durham West Brown died Sunday May 14, 2006. He was 26 years old and had been in a coma since his automobile accident of February 13, 2005.

A memorial service was held in the chapel at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, Marietta, GA, on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at 10 a.m., followed by an interment ceremony at Oakland Cemetery at noon.

Mr. Durham was President and founder of Knowledge Performance, Inc., which specializes in repairing and restoring racing cars. He is survived by two daughters, Alencia Ann and Hadley West Brown; his father, Thomas Watson Brown, Marietta; one brother, Thomas Watson Brown, Jr., Evans; three sisters, Melissa Ellen Brown Cummings, Canton, Ohio, Anne Georgia Brown McCarroll, Memphis, and Elizabeth Courtney Brown, Marietta; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Durham was a grandson of Walter J. Brown and great-great grandson of Thomas E. Watson, both of Thomson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Watson-Brown Foundation, 310 Tom Watson Way, Thomson, GA 30824.
