Mr. and Mrs. James A. McGaw announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn, of Marks, Miss., to P.J. Blount of Oxford, Miss. P.J. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy J. Blount of Thomson. The wedding will be held on June 25, 2005, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Thomson Presbyterian Church.
Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the 1810 Country Inn and Winery in Thomson.
After the wedding, the couple will make their home in Oxford.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Joyce S. Manning of Thomson and G.A. Manning of Montrose, GA, and J. Albert and Markey McGaw of Anderson, S.C.
The future groom is the grandson of Ed and Betty Blount of Athens and the late Jimmy and Fredda Beaton of Memphis, Tenn.
The bride is a graduate of Thomson High School and the University of Georgia and is currently employed at the Madison Palmer High School in Marks, Miss.
The groom is a graduate of Thomson High School and the University of Georgia and is currently attending the School of Law at the University of Mississippi.
