HARLEM, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Charlie T. Johnson, 72, of Harlem, was held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Simonia Baptist Church, Appling, with the Pastor, Rev. Earnest Turner, Sr., officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Lue Johnson, Harlem; five daughters, Ruth (Ronney) Bussey, Winfield, Linda (Rob) Lopez, Thomson, Bernice (Clifford) Griffin, Augusta, Bernette (Ralph) Thurmond & Sabrina Johnson, all of Harlem; four sons, John (Carmellia) Samuels & Charles Samuels, all of Harlem, James Samuels, Thomson, & Dennis Johnson, Augusta; two sisters, Georgia Lue Samuels, Harlem, & Annie Lizzie Johnson, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Bailey Leo Johnson, Augusta; three sisters-in-law; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
