The kick-off of the vacation reading program at the Thomson-McDuffie Library was held Saturday. Over 300 children attended the event and enjoyed lunch and a puppet show by Peter Hart of Atlanta Puppets. Librarian Suzan Harris said 110 children signed up for the reading club. Mr. Hart provided entertainment with his puppets-on-a-string, and demonstrated how he made the puppets.
