Mrs. Essie Mae Hobbs AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Essie Mae Hobbs, entered into rest Thursday, May 19, 2005 at University Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Survivors are her husband, Johnny Boatwright, Augusta; five daughters, Johnnie Michele Hobbs, Janice Kaye (Charles S.) Williams, Jacqueline Denise Hobbs, Myrtis Elaine Hobbs, Augusta, Brenda (Herman L.) Germany, Thomson; three sisters, Lelar Crawford, Walter Mae White, Mildred Burnett, Augusta; one brother, Rufus Berry, S.C.; 22 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Crawford, Augusta; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
