Mr. Stephen Nelson Norris

MARTINEZ, Ga. -- Mr. Stephen Nelson Norris, 27, of Martinez, entered into rest Monday, May 16, 2005 at Eisenhower Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2005 at First Baptist Church, Warrenton with Rev. Allen M. Holbrook officiating. Burial followed at Camak United Methodist Church cemetery.

Stephen was born in Richmond County on December 22, 1977 and graduated from Evans High School in 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Warrenton. He was a master cosmetologist. His family said: "We shall always treasure the happy memories of Stephen, his beautiful smile, his love for beautiful things, his love for family and friends, and his trust in God. He was an inspiration on how to accept and deal with adversities. He made a great and lasting impression on the many people he met along the way. He will always be remembered with much love and admiration."

Survivors include his father and stepmother, John Nelson Norris and Diane H. Norris of Martinez; his mother and stepfather, Sharon K. Greaves and James T. Greaves, Jr. of Martinez; paternal grandmother, Mary Norris, Camak; maternal grandmother, Inez Davis, Warrenton; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Bubba Norris, Thomson, Stella and Bobby Bellamy, Warrenton, Evie and Keith Moon, Washington, Diane Norris, Thomson, and Randy Jones, Camak; cousins, Kacey Norris, Taylor Norris, Bob Bellamy, Jenny Bellamy, Christopher Moon, Curtis Moon, Jamie Jones and stepbrothers, Jimmy Greaves and George Greaves, both of Augusta. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Nelson Norris and W. T. "Bill" Davis.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Myers, Joe Stinson, Chris Smith, David Pierce, David Duncan and Bob Bellamy.

Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
