LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Evelyn Colvin Florence, 79, died Thursday, May 24, at Lake Crossing Health Care in Appling.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 27, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Revs. Paul C. Reviere and Allen Danner officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Florence, a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, was the daughter of the late Thomas Edison and Merle Story Colvin. She was a retired food service worker and a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church where she was a former leader in the Children's Sunday School Class and VBS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Boydie) Florence. Survivors include her daughters, Ann F. Reviere and husband Paul, Wanda F. Wengrow and husband Michael, all of Lincolnton; sisters, Margaret Green, Dearing, Louise Poss, Anchorage, Alaska, Jean Paradise, Lincolnton; grandchildren, William Eric Wengrow, Ashley Wengrow Crawford and husband Robby; great- grandchild, Abraham David Crawford.
Pallbearers were Mike Beggs, Leon Florence, Jr., Jeff Gay, Ricky Crook, Keith Cunningham, John Martin, and Danny Aycock.
