THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Charles L. Tullis, Sr., 72, beloved husband of Mrs. Rachel Axon Tullis, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Mike Sutphin and Charles L. Tullis, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Tullis was a native of Atlanta, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was retired from Orkin Pest Control. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rachel A. Tullis, Thomson; three daughters, Robin Hamilton, Pierson, Fla., Denise Tullis, Dearing, and Vickie Bentley, Thomson; five sons, Rev. Charles L. Tullis Jr., Stockbridge, Richard M. Tullis Sr., Yulee, Fla., Jason S. Tullis, Deland, Fla., Bobby Tullis and David Tullis, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Paul Tullis, Douglasville and James Tullis, Lawrenceville; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were William Land, Sonny Hunnicutt, Summie Richards, Allen Axon, and Bob Bentley.
