Ms. Julia Ann Baker

THOMSON, Ga. - Ms. Julia Ann Baker, 41, of Austin Oaks, Thomson, entered into rest May 31, 2005 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Taylor, Thomson; sister, Tonja Young (David), Thomson; nieces, Rebecca Burchfield and Rachel Butler (Chevy), Thomson, and fiancˆ©, James Malon, Thomson.

Ms. Baker was a native of Augusta, but lived in Blairsville and McDuffie County for the past several years. She was a graduate of Thomson High and Westland College of Macon with a degree in Christian Education. Ms. Baker was also former Youth Director of the Church of Nazarene in Blairsville, and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Lincolnton.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Lincolnton, with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richmond County Humane Society.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
