STAPLETON, Ga. - Mr. George Robert Kitchens entered into rest June 3, 2005 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra T. Kitchens, Stapleton; daughter, Anitra Kitchens and her fiancˆ©, Kyle Connell, Stapleton; grandson, Zachary Thomas Kitchens; brothers, John Weldon Kitchens, Sr. (Joyce), Hephzibah, Harry Kitchens (Alice), Stapleton, Julian Kitchens (Mary Frances) Wrens, Annette Key and Julia Massey (Lamar) both of Thomson, Sadie Kitchens, Stapleton, Lollie Dell Todd (Melvin), Gibson, Lynn Mayo (Brian), Norwood; sisters-in-law, Janis Kitchens and Berthine Kitchens. He was preceded in death by his parents George Robert Kitchens and Lizzie Bell Kitchens; two brothers, James Kitchens, Sr., Milo Kitchens, Sr.; and a sister, Frances Kitchens.
Mr. Kitchens was a lifelong resident of Glascock County. He was retired from J. M. Huber Corp. after 30 years of service. Mr. Kitchens was also a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and a member of the Woodman of the World Lodge #982.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2005 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Bill Seaman, Mike Sutphin and Jimmy Richardson officiating. Interment followed in Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Bobby Mauck, Chris Kelley, Paul Rogers, J.R. Gilmer, Billy Doe Gilmer and Wayne Chalker.
