Mr. William Gene Cobb THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. William Gene Cobb, age 78, widow of Mrs. Lily Ruth Cobb of Langham Road, Thomson, died April 3, 2004, in the V.A. Medical Center in Augusta. Memorial services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Young Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Lamar Rabun and Rev. Walter Pledger officiating. A native of Rutledge, Ala., Mr. Cobb was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired after several years of service in the Banking Industry. He is survived by two nieces, Kathy Murphy of Montgomery, Ala., and Pam Gryski of Auburn, Ala., companion, Mary Francis Purvis of Thomson.
