THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Adele Baston Adams, 73, widow of Mr. Lynn D. Adams, died Wednesday June 7, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral service was held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Kerr and Rev. Liza Marler officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
A native of Columbia County, Mrs. Adams was a retired Clerical Accountant, a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church, and the Sunshine Club.
She is survived by daughter and son in-law, Vicki and Michael Bonner, of Thomson; son and daughter in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Lora Adams, of Dearing; two brothers, George (Estes) Baston, of Gaffney, SC, and Gene "P'Nut" Baston of Johnston, SC; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to Thomson First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Thomson, GA 30824 or to the United Methodist Children's Home 500 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
