Mr. William Terrell Johnson
Retired Civil Service

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. William Terrell Johnson, 83, died Thursday June 9, 2006 at his residence.

Graveside services were held 3 p.m. Sunday June 11, 2006 in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Leonard Dupree officiating.

A native of Warren County, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Stanford and Eula Berry Johnson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II and a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Korea, and retired after many years of employment with Civil Service. He was a life member of the Thomson V.F.W. Post 6672, and the Thomson First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, R.A. Johnson; two sisters, Myrtice Cason and Louise Chalker, and a daughter, Judy Terrell Johnson Hall. He is survived by Leila Nunnally of Thomson; two sons, Berry Wayne (Sherry) Johnson, of Myrtle Beach, SC and William Warren (Nancy) Johnson, of Augusta; son-in-law, Dann V. Hall of Millersburg, PA; three grandchildren, Travis (Renita) Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Justin Hall of Millersburg, PA, Candace Johnson, of Dearing; two sisters, Doris Banks of Thomson, Mary Frances (Pryce) McCord of Norwood; two brothers, Jr. Johnson of Augusta, and James (Martha) Johnson of Thomson and a sister-in-law, Juanita Johnson of Thomson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to the Thomson First Baptist Church building fund, 253 Jackson St. Thomson, GA 30824.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
