Lee Anna Thompson of Destin, Fla., and Joel Gregory Meadows of Dallas, Texas, were united in marriage on April 9, 2005, at Amenities Terrace Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at the Amenities Terrace Garden, at 6 p.m.


Music was provided by Emerald String Trio and Trumpet.

The bride, escorted by her father, Larry E. Thompson, wore a white silk strapless gown by Marissa with a silk taffeta sash in a champagne color that cascaded down the back of the train. She chose a chapel length veil of silk tulle by designer Erin Cole. The bride's bouquet was made up of shades of pink and champagne roses.

Matron of honor was Amy Thompson Beckham, sister of the bride, of Atlanta. Maid of honor was Mary Kathryn Thompson, sister of the bride, of Atlanta.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Jones Sisson, Augusta, cousin of the bride; Elizabeth Ware Carpenter, Atlanta, Gretchen Ann Fisher, Kansas City, Kansas, Kristen Diane Malin, Destin, Fla., all friends of the bride; Susanna Meadows Nelson, Destin, Fla., cousin of the groom; Traci Ferri Meadows, San Antonio, Texas, sister-in-law of the groom.

All of the attendants wore gowns by Jim Hjelm made in Calypso pink satin-faced taffeta with a cord tied at the waist of champagne taffeta.

Jeff Meadows of Houston Texas and Neal Meadows of San Antonio, Texas, brothers of the groom, were best men.

Groomsmen were Michael Stuart Herrin, Houston, Texas; Richard Henry Carnahon, III, San Antonio, Texas; John Edward Bourret, II, Dallas, Texas; Charles Stuart Clark, III, Houston, Texas;, Kellis Stuart DiBrell, Dallas, Texas; and Captain William Walter Nelson, Destin, Fla.; all friends of the groom.

Ushers were Jason Alexander Beckham, Atlanta, brother-in-law of the bride; Alex Hicks Harris, Corpus Christi, Texas, uncle of the groom; Scott Highams Hudson, Dallas, Texas, friend of the groom; and Russell Clark Mason, cousin of the groom, Chicago, Ill.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with an ivory tie and vest. All of the groom's attendants wore a black tuxedo with black tie and black vest.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry E. Thompson of Thomson. The bride's mother wore a champagne dress with handkerchief skirt of silk chiffon and a beaded iridescent lace top with sleeves that were three quarter in length.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. John Beazley Sisson of Thomson and Mrs. Margaret S. Thompson of Thomson.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Benjamin Meadows, III. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Benjamin Meadows, Jr. of Corpus Christie, Texas. The groom's mother wore a mauve pink satin skirt with beaded jacket.

Jordon Elizabeth Mason of Dallas, Texas, was a reader at the wedding.

A reception was held at the Azalea Ballroom Baytowne Conference Center. It was decorated with white table cloths with silver candelabras and roses and pink rose topiaries on alternate tables. Hosts for the event were the bride's parents.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was at Rutherford 465, Regatta Bay Golf and Country Club.

It was decorated with brown satin table cloths with brown satin chair covers and pink satin bows on each chair and pink rose topiaries in the center of the tables.

After the wedding the couple left for a honeymoon trip to Aruba. They will reside in Dallas, Texas.
