Lindsey Denise Johnson and John Hatcher Sisson, Jr. were married at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Epworth by the Sea. Rev. James H. Rush officiated.
Lindsey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Johnson of Warrenton, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Smith of Warrenton, Ga. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Johnson of Norwood, Ga. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and employed with Heritage Lending Group, Inc. as a Mortgage and Loan Processor.
Hatcher is the son of Mrs. Lanie Jones Wilson of Atlanta and Mr. John Hatcher Sisson of Thomson. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George B. Jones of Wrens and Mr. and Mrs. John B. Sisson of Thomson. He is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and is a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta. Hatcher is employed as the Vice President of Sisson Realty and Timber, Inc.
Given in marriage by her father, Lindsey chose her sister, Miss Lacey Johnson of Anderson, S.C., to serve as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Jones Sisson, Augusta, sister of the groom and Miss Tiffany J. Mimbs, Athens, friend of the bride.
Hatcher chose his father to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Atticus Hutchinson III, Richmond Hill, Ga. And Mr. Albert Hawes Dallas, Atlanta, cousins of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Garden Room at the Island Inn. The newlyweds honeymooned in Key West, Fla. and are residing in Martinez.
