Jaime Renee Hatfield and Elijah Grant Putnam were married at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 1810 Country Inn and Winery. Judge David Moore officiated.
Jaime is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Suggs of Thomson and Mr. Steve Hatfield of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Brown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hatfield, all of Augusta and Ms. Betty Suggs of Branford, Fla. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor of Business Administration in marketing. She is currently a masters candidate at Western Carolina University in Public Affairs. She is employed by Highgear USA, Inc. in Fletcher, N.C.
Eli is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Putnam of Modoc, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Patricia Gould of Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Putnam of Rochester, N.Y. He is a graduate of Augusta State University, where he earned a bachelor of Science in middle school education. He is employed by the Transylvania County School System in Brevard, N.C.
Given in marriage by her father and stepfather, Jaime chose her mother, Mrs. Rene Suggs of Thomson, to serve as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Fordham, Christiansburg, Va., Lindsey Underwood and Nan Siple, both of Athens, Ga., Jennifer Goetzman, Martinez, Sarah Yates, Atlanta and Tiffany Robinson, Evans, all friends of the bride.
Eli chose his father to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Josh Putnam, Charleston, S.C., brother of the groom; Sean Suggs, Thomson, brother of the bride; Wayne Irby, Augusta, Kirk Williams, Marietta, Ga., Chad Bearden, Martinez and Jason Rodwell, Evans, all friends of the groom.
Gin Sellers of Martinez, cousin of the bride, was the wedding coordinator.
Jessica Clanton of Atlanta, friend of the bride, was the reader.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at 1810 Country Inn and Winery. The newlyweds will honeymoon on the coast of Maine and will reside in Brevard, N.C.
