On Tuesday, June 3, members of the Pine Needle Garden Club traveled to Wrens to pick strawberries at the Prescott Farm.
Included in the group were several members' children. The children learned about strawberries, and enjoyed eating fresh picked berries.
Those who made the trip were Jackie Dupree; Becky Jones and her daughter Faith; Ashley Twiggs and her daughters Salem and CeCe; Laynie Derry, daughter of club member Charlotte Derry; and Judy Giles with her daughters Audbrey and Amy, her son-in-law Andrew, and her grandson Elijah.
This was the last activity for the club before taking a summer break. The Pine Needle Garden Club will resume its monthly meetings and civic activities in September.
