THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Charles Turman, 79, of Thomson, was held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at noon at Stoney Grove C.M.E. Church, Pastor, Rev. Ralph E. Moore, Eulogist, and Rev. Andrew Grant, Presiding. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Pearl Turman, Thomson; four daughters, Rutha (Bobby) Reese, Lurenda (Willie) Bradshaw, all of Thomson, Olevian (Fitzgerald) Brown, Augusta, and Wilhelmenia (Richard) Jones, Sharon, PA; five sons, Manus (Daisy) Turman, Warrenton, Billy Turman and Charlie Turman, both of Thomson, Eugene (Jacqueline) Turman, Clarksville, TN, and Eddie (Sharon) Turman, Grovetown; two brothers-in-law, R.L. Hudson and W. Wyman (Elma) Hudson, all of Warrenton; three sisters-in-law, Marie Turman, New York, Minnie Turman, Covington, and Lizzie Kate Hudson, Camak; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a devoted friend, Willie Reese; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Thomson Funeral System, Thomson, was in charge of arrangements.
