AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Minnie Lee Blackwell entered into rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Doctor's Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 18, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. C. W. Joyner, Jr. officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
Mrs. Blackwell, a native of Thomson, was retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital. As a member of Broadway Baptist Church, her service included the Missionary Ministry and the Girls Club.
Survivors are four daughters, Glenda (Sylvester) Abrams, Gloria Goudeau, Wanda (Willie) Lavan, Augusta, Patricia (Henry) Douglas, Atlanta; three sons, Gregory (Janice) Blackwell, Allan Blackwell, Augusta, Michael Blackwell, New Jersey; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two nieces, devoted friend, Janie Rickerson, Augusta; goddaughter, Diane Barker, Augusta and a host of other relatives and friends.
