Mr. and Mrs. Pete Lokey of Dearing and Peggy Abbott of Thomson would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Danielle, to Robert Michael Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hughes and Mrs. and Mrs. Freeman Benson, all of Thomson.
Lacey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Abbott of Thomson and Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Lokey Sr. of Dearing. She is a 2004 graduate of Thomson High School and is presently attending Augusta Technical College pursuing a degree in nursing.
Michael is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Robins of Florida, Ms. Ruth Robins of Thomson, Mr. Gene Hughes and the late Mrs. Evelyn Hughes of Thomson and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Newsome of Thomson. He is a 2003 graduate of Thomson High School and is employed by Martin Marietta.
The wedding is planned for June 23 in St. Lucia. The couple will reside in Thomson.
