Mr. Oliver Pilcher Walden, Jr. GIBSON, Ga.- Mr. Oliver Pilcher Walden, Jr., 71, of 3261 Highway 102 E., Gibson, entered into rest June 17, 2004 at University Hospital. He was the son of the late Oliver P. Walden, Sr. and the late Mary Will Walden. Graveside services were held Monday, June 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Gardens in Louisville, with Rev. Thomas Ghann officiating. Mr. Walden is survived by two daughters, Angela (Bill) Kemp of Gibson, Gail (Eugene) Norris of Warrenton; a brother, Melton Walden of Augusta; two sisters, Brenda Hobbs of Cottageville, S.C., Audrey Norton of Gibson; a special dedicated nephew, Milton and Debbie Hobbs of Thomson; two grandsons; three granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were employees of the Wal-Mart. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
