THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral services for Rev. Diane Martin Askew, 58, of Thomson, were held on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Gilbert-Lambuth Chapel at Paine College in Augusta, with the Rev. Gene R. Dean officiating and Rev. J. Ronzell Maness serving as eulogist. Interment was in Westview Cemetery in Thomson.
Survivors include her mother, Christine Martin, Thomson; three daughters, Londa (Jason) Lawson, Melanie (Alonzo) Williams and LaKristan Askew, all of Thomson; two sisters, Angela Martin and Mary (Jessie) Hatcher all of Thomson; three brothers, Sanders Martin, Thomson, Johnny Martin, Birmingham, Ala., Jerome Martin, Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, honorary daughters, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
