The 55th annual reunion of the Cason-Hinton family was held on Sunday, June 24, at the Sweetwater Activity Center building on Wire Road in Thomson.
Approximately 70 family members, guests and friends were in attendance from Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
Rev. Ken Garvin, pastor of Sweetwater Baptist Church, led a memorial service for the members who had passed away during the last year after which he gave the invocation.
June 22, 2008, is the date for the next reunion.
