THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Dennis Allen Hughes, 59, widow of Mrs. Barbara Ann Stevens Hughes, died Monday evening June 19, 2006 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Thursday June 22, 2006 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Adrian Burrell officiating. Burial followed in the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson.
Pallbearers were Timmy Usry, Glenn Allen, Ricky Phillips, Stan Morris, Tim Smith and Robert Milford.
Mr. Hughes was a native of McDuffie County and had worked with Knox Rivers and retired from Reeves Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He is survived by daughter, Lisa Marie (Ronnie) Black of Gibson; son, Jutson Marcus Hughes of Gibson; two sisters, Martha Phillips of Thomson, and Bobbie Scott of Hephzibah; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
