NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Norma Ivey Logan, 88, wife of the late Benjamin D. Logan, entered into rest Friday, June 23, 2006, at Windermere Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Logan was a native of Thomson and lived most of her life in Augusta. She worked for more than 30 years as a Richmond County Clerk of Probate Court and was a Methodist. Mrs. Logan loved flowers, and her hobbies were gardening and needlework. The family stated that she made the "most beautiful crochet pieces."
Family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Joseph Brown, Jr. of North Augusta, Nancy and Doug Woodruff of Live Oak, FL; son and daughter-in-law, David and Carole Logan of Martinez; grandchildren, Rhonda B. Scoggins, Joseph Buster Brown, III, Shannon L. Dykes, Christopher Laidler, Mary L. Bryant, David R. Logan, Amanda T. Rybiki, Vickie D. Troglen; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Billie Wardlaw of Augusta, Bonnie Williamson of Vidalia; nephew, Lloyd Ogburn of Austell and sister-in-law, Frances Schrenk of Edgefield. Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her sister, Evie Ogburn.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Sherell Dunn officiating.
