THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Anna Mae Dozier Mathis of Thomson was held on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wilkes Memorial Church of God in Christ, Warrenton, Ga., with Elder Lawrence Bacon officiating and Eulogist. Interment was in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors are a very special friend and partner, Mr. Eddie Smith; six children, Willie (Lillie) Franklin, Jr. of Thomson, Sadie Franklin (Mike) of Warrenton, Sara Franklin (Daryl) Hodge of Stone Mountain, Ga., Ivory Mathis of Jonesboro, Ga., Betty (Alexander) Andrews of Thomson., Cathy (Edward) Winfrey of Thomson; four sisters, Sadie Lindsey and Diane Shirley both of Thomson, Elsie Franklin of Augusta and Emma Wallace of Columbus, Ohio; seven brothers, Willie (Mattie) Franklin of Warrenton, Eddie (Beatrice) Dozier, Willie James Wallace, Timothy (Lashaya) Wallace, Billy Wallace all of Columbus, Dennis Wheeler and Steve McCoy both of Thomson; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; an Aunt Lula Bell Dozier of Norwood; goddaughter, Barbara Larkins; a niece, Catherine (Pookie) Brown, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
