THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. Mack Newsome, 68, of Thomson, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in the St. Joseph Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2004 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sue Meehan officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Newsome was a native of Warren County. He was a retired shipping clerk with National Building Service. He was a member of the Thomson Moose Lodge #477. He was a member of the Mesena United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol Welch, Dearing; a step-daughter, Barbara Howell, Colo.; three sisters, Louise Norris, Thomson, Betty McDonald, Warrenton, Dorothy Akins, Mableton; a brother, Carl Newsome, Warrenton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eddie Newsome, Bill Newsome, James Newsome, Clyde Newsome, David Newsome and Jonathan Newsome. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Thomson Moose Lodge.
Donations may be made to the Mesena United Methodist Church.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
