DEARING, Ga.- Mr. Clifford E. Washington, 93, husband of Mrs. Virginia Newman Washington of Dearing, entered into rest Thursday, June 24, 2004, at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2004, in the Adams Chapel Cemetery, Dearing, Ga., with the Rev. Mike Timmerman officiating.
Mr. Washington, a native of McDuffie County, was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and Silver Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Washington; two sons and daughters-in-law Ray and Ann Washington, Dearing, and Ernie and Debbie Washington, Evans; three daughters, Rose and son-in-law Bobby Aldred, of Dearing, Sandra Washington, Dearing, and Martha Roberts, Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Allean Neal, Dearing, Marie Petrusick, Lexington, S.C., and Katherine McNair, Thomson; eight grandsons and one granddaughter; six great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
