Writer thanks local emergency personnel
Letter to the Editor
I would like to publicly thank the McDuffie County EMTs, Dr. Hicks and others in the emergency care unit of McDuffie Regional Hospital, and the State Patrol officers for the excellent care they provided following my June 18th automobile accident.
They arrived almost immediately. A state patrolman opened the door that I was struggling to open while an EMT removed my 3-year-old granddaughter from the backseat.
The EMTs were very attentive and very gentle, especially with my granddaughter. They transported us to the McDuffie Regional Hospital and arranged for us to have a private room so that my granddaughter could stay with me while I was being treated for minor injuries. Dr. Hicks and the emergency room personnel were also very attentive. We received excellent care from everyone, and we are very grateful.
I m sorry that the accident occurred; but if it had to occur, I m thankful that it occurred in a location that could provide such outstanding professional care.
Thank you.
