TIGNALL, Ga. - Mr. William Clarence "Hank" Wilson, 86, died June 29, 2008, in Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Claude Dewey Wilson and Sallie Mae Johnson Wilson. Before Mr. Wilson retired, he had owned and operated both a service station and a sawmill. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Wilson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Mallorysville Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Berry officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Craig Chapman, Jamie Aaron, Andy Hobbs, Rick McCord, Keaton Wilson, and Chet Wilson served as pallbearers. Nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Anderson Wilson; son, Clarence Neal Wilson and wife, Kelly, Tignall; daughters, Gayle Wilson Thomas and husband, Jack, Franklin, N.C., Debby McCord and husband, Charlie, Thomson, and Janet Aaron, Tignall; brothers, Gene Wilson, Tignall and Julian Wilson, Tignall; sisters, Eula Mae Jones, Cadley, Sara Edna Caldwell, Tignall, and Margaret Lee Peterman, Lexington; grandchildren, Craig Chapman, Rick McCord, Kristi Hobbs, Jamie Aaron, Abbey Aaron, Keaton Wilson, Kirby Wilson, and Lynn Fulton; and five great-grandchildren.
