NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Richard Lee Barnett, 75, of North Augusta, S.C., entered in rest, June 28, 2008. A private family service was held at a later date.
Mr. Barnett was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, having made North Augusta his home for the past four years. He was a member of True North Church and Jessie C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post 71.
Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by a nephew, Terrell Young, and two great nephews, Gunner Lee Young and Ryker Kane Young.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Jean Barnett; a son, Michael D. Barnett, Haiku, Hawaii; a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine B. and David Stowe, Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Forrest Stowe, Camellia Stowe and Emerald Stowe; two nieces, Debbie Montgomery and Kelly Routin, both of Thomson; two special nieces, Pamela LeDou, and Karyn Grace Parker, both of North Augusta ; two nephews, Gregory Montgomery (Valerie) Thomson, and Stephen Young (Elisabeth), North Augusta; two great nephews, Brian Young and Tyler Young, both of North Augusta; a sister, Barbara Montgomery, Thomson; a sister- in-law, Barbara Young, North Augusta.

Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta were in charge of arrangements.
